In our latest event, we decided to organise an evening of games to improve language skills in a fun and informal way. The friendly atmosphere promised an evening full of intercultural encounters and linguistic discoveries.
We prepared all the tables with a variety of board games and card games: from classics such as Scrabble and Taboo to modern favourites like Codenames and Dixit. The participants had the chance to try out various games, putting their language skills to the test. In a round of Who am I?, they practised giving descriptions of people in French or German, while in an intense game of Codenames, teams learnt to link and explain words to the rest of the group.
The room was filled with joy and laughter, and players were encouraged to express themselves freely and accept mistakes as part of the learning process. This event proved that learning a new language doesn’t have to only be a challenge, but can also be a fun and rewarding experience. See you next time!
